Who We Are

Before we talk about US, let’s first talk about YOU.  You work in a company and support your firm’s objectives in the areas of corporate training, marketing, public relations, advertising, multi media, and/or event production.  You are finding that the expectations for “deliverables” have gone up while the number of people to get the job done has gone down.

MCS understands how this model works because we all came from the corporate communications world.  Our clients call on us when they need to deliver memorable messages to their target audiences. We blend in with your existing corporate culture, work seamlessly with your staff, and deliver a product or service that inevitably makes you and your company shine.

MCS Management Team

Thomas P. McHenry – Chief Visionary

Thomas McHenryTom has combined his communication’s degree from Temple along with thirty years of multimedia production leadership, to form his own company, McHenry Creative Services.  As the Chief Visionary, Tom charts our path as we navigate our new economy, stay on top of new technology, and design new creative solutions that yield positive results.  He has his hands in all of the day to day operations of the company, yet has an eye towards the future to ensure that the projects that we deliver have relevance today and tomorrow.

Guinness anyone?  This is Tom’s favorite beverage to wash down his meal of choice, "meat and potatoes!"  Tom and his wife Grace have four great kids, and a new grandson, Samuel.  Tom purchased a treadmill in 2006 and has already logged 4000 miles… 3.6 miles of jogging per day!  Tom is an avid Flyer’s fan and loves to turn others on to the sport.

Unflappable describes Tom’s personality in business.  Tom is one of those leaders that when faced with a challenge, he quickly collects his thoughts, figures out a solution and monitors the outcome.  All of this is accomplished and Tom does not even break out in a sweat!

Karen Mandel - Opportunity Generator

Karen MandellAfter graduating from Penn State, Karen spent the next thirty years exploring and mastering her field of expertise... marketing!  Her first stop was with the Disney organization in Orlando, Fla, then she proceeded to ARAMARK for eighteen fabulous years.  Karen invented a cookie and sold it sold in 1000 Starbuck's stores up and down the east coast. This lead to a full time employment with the coffee giant as the Regional Food Manaqer for the Upper Mid Atlantic Region.

To stay in shape and keep up with her two teen sons, Karen swims a mile a day.   Karen auditioned and won a coveted spot on QVC to demo Hoover vacuum cleaners.  Within a year she was back on camera selling her decadent dipping cookies!

Words that have been used to describe Karen include tenacious, creative, humorous, clever, honest, and sincere.  These personality traits have poised Karen to be the perfect lead for MCS to branch out and be the Opportunity Generator.

Dave Pedimonti – Director, Event Services

Dave PedimontiIf Dave “Ped” did not become one of the hottest lighting designers in the mid-Atlantic region, I am sure that he would have pursued his passion for food and theatre and become a “Gaucho” chef in a Brazilian restaurant!  Do you need a custom made shirt, new drapes, or perhaps just a hem?  We are all blown away with Dave’s skills with a needle and thread…and sewing machine too!

Dave brings the experience of providing production management and design services for over 200 regional and national theatre productions. When the White House needs professional lighting for press conferences and private events, they often call on Dave.  Most recently, he orchestrated the lighting for one of President Obama’s Inaugural Balls, and prior to that, provided lighting/event services for five past presidents of the US.  When you choose MCS, you get Dave as part of the “package”, as he rounds out our team with his technical, planning, lighting design, set creation, and logistics mastery.
